CHIRP Maritime is a global confidential near miss reporting programme, designed for seafarers to safeguard the reporter. It is not whistle-blowing nor anonymous. It exists to highlight and confront maritime safety concerns that are not being heard. Credibility and integrity are key components of the programme.
The ultimate objective is to enhance and protect the lives of all seafarers including: fishing; commercial; superyacht; pleasure; military; offshore and piloting – wherever and whoever they are.
CHIRP Maritime is the world’s foremost maritime confidential reporting programme and the ‘Voice of the Mariner’.
Reports can be submitted online through the website.
